So these bolts were a godsend for sure. I was looking for a bolt that thieves wouldn't be able to u
Very cool! It's sad you had to go through that much effort because people can't be trusted not to steal from you. But it looks like it should work perfectly. Mine are just riveted in as I have no side windows. It's rare it does daily duty though
I was thinking using rivets, but I liked the idea of being able to easily replace them if need be. I just used rivnuts for now
Rivnuts are the best!
What did you use to tighten them down? I imagine not having any sort of way to prevent it from spinning would make having it securely attached a bit difficult. Otherwise, that's a pretty great solution to a big problem. I imagine it wasn't super expensive to do either.
I'm going to use a nut at the end to keep them from spinning out. Maybe some locktite. The bolts themselves are a bit pricey considering the price of a bolt- about $1 a piece, but I think it's worth it
Thanks for sharing! I've been looking for something like this for a while
nothing feels better than going back and fixing all those corners you cut and doing it properly
Well. Weather is finally getting a bit warmer. Looks like it may be time to get back to work ;D
