That's the why project cars go, and when you go long periods of time of not working on them it hard to remember what is and isn't done. Hard making progress working outside.
I know, wish I had a garage, or at least an awning.
I feel for you, you hit the nail on the head there, super hard to keep track of stuff that sits for too long. I learned that lesson with my RX-7, it sat for years in pieces, it was a nightmare trying to tie up all the loose ends. Being outside is even more of a challenge, kudos to you for taking it on, and best of luck chipping away at that thing! 👍
but the cams sound cool
all new cams, valve springs, headstuds, gaskets and chains installed ready to go back in the Crown
Can't weight until I get to rebuild my engine! Nice work!
Looks like a time-consuming job.
Nice! Which brands did you go with for everything? Kind of an engine freak myself so I'm curious lol
went with felpro headgaskets ARP studs and comp cams and springswheelwell.com/adam-mcmillen/d1v/2006-ford-crown-victoria/5lg1/comp-cams-cams-xtreme-energytm-xe278ah
Excellent choices! Can never go wrong with any of those companies
Gotta get air across the intercooler, so gotta get hacking.
I was so nervous when I first decided to cut out my grill but am glad I did
Lol imagine my fear cutting my hood!
Done that too! Definitely a moment of truth
