The Story

Black 2016 Scion iM "Grumpy" (first and last of its kind)

I bough this car on October 16th 2015 brand new, exactly one month after my 2013 Toyota Yaris LE was totaled in an accident. My husband and I were heading into town when another driver ran a stop sign and hit us going 45mph. No one was hurt but my Yaris as a mess. I was heart broken because I loved that car so much, I only had it just shy of a year and had been working on making it mine with a few mods here and there. I didnt want a new car at first, I just wanted my car back, it helped me get out of my shell and meet new friends, I had put so much time and effort into it. A lot of the stuff done on it was stuff I did all by myself because I had no one to help me. If it wasn’t for that car I wouldn’t have met the friends and people I know now. People who know me know Im not a social person, but Ive always liked cars and when I got the Yaris I felt like I had a new thing that would help me get over my insecurities of meeting new people. This is why it was so hard to make the decision of getting a new car. My friends made so many suggestions on different cars but it wasn't until some of my Yaris owning friends recommended I look at the new Scion iM that I got a little excited. My sister ons a first gen Scion xB and she loves it, it has well over 300k miles and is still going so I thought why not look at scion? I actually kinda wanted a new Scion tC so me and my husband went to our local Toyota dealer to look at the tCs and that's when I saw this gorgeous black iM sitting in the show room. I asked the sales guy if this was the new iM and he said yes and after looking it over and taking it for a test drive I was in love again. The rest is history I guess you could say. Im having so much fun with my friends coming up with new ideas on mods for this car since it is so new and Im hoping to start showing it soon.
