Purchased in very beat up condition with faded and peeling paint. Needless to say, I restored it to running condition and tried to make it look JDM AF. Throughout highschool it was pretty much completely stock. Last August I got into drifting, and the actual mods started. It was surprising to myself and others how capable a stock V6 could be. It exceeded my expectations. But the stock V6 would only last so long under that much abuse, and so in early November, during a night drifting SESH, it finally gave up and broke a piston ring. We pulled the engine and shortly found a 5.0 for sale. The first month was spent ordering parts and cleaning up the dirty old engine, painting the bay, etc. It was a LONG process, with many difficulties and delays. Bought a new K member, new K member had to be modified to fit, radiator wouldn't fit with stock Fox accessories, so I had to tuck the radiator more. When I finally got the 5.0 fired up, it just kept puking out all its coolant, and I came to the conclusion that it had a blown headgasket. So off came the heads, and everything was reinstalled in a few days. But then, filling it up with coolant again, it just wouldn't fill up. My friend then noticed it was leaking from somewhere. Turns out the freeze plug on the back of the head had completely rusted out. So off came the heads a second time. Finally it was time to start it and take it out. But then it just started pissing power steering fluid everywhere. I think the actual rack was cracked or something, from where I hit it to take it out the first time. SO, a new rack. With the new rack installed, it was pretty much finished, and I was able to drive it for the first time. Still some kinks to work out, but that's all for now.
