I bought this Van for 3k to catch a break from the rain while I was homeless. It ran poorly at the time, but we just needed a place to bunk while the sunsets. Staying in the van, staring at stars kindly allowed me to grieve, take away the depression from mother’s passing. Dreamed of running a small businesses revolving around the van. I was able to use it to move, deliver things, sell toys for awhile to get my head up. I kept doing what it was meant to do and eventually it lead me to learning about commercial appliance repair. It was a hard transition, but studying and being allowed to try to work on people’s equipment without pay eventually led me down a different rabbit hole and many more opportunities. I finally gave the van a name in 2013 after a visit to my mothers grave, wishing she was able to experience this sweet van. We named her “Ivory”, she opened the doors to learning new skillsets that I wouldn’t have dreamed of in my early years. Just gotta go onward and forward, learning and doing along the way. Stay wishful, do good things, until the next trip!
