Shop Wheels & Tires ModsThis is my 2007 ex-Farmer's Branch, TX Police Interceptor, which has been my only car, and for brief periods, home, for the last four years. It earned the name "Athena," as in the Greek goddess of war and wisdom, after a couple years of adventures. Everything from racing against small, light, nimble imports to off-road adventures, she's a jack of all trades, and I've never regretted my choice of car. Originally purchased with 103,000 miles in 2014, it was a great platform upon which to build my own concept of the ultimate long-duration grand tourer, as I travel all across the western US for business and fun. As of May 2018 it now has 330,000 miles, and it has exceeded my expectations. Modifications made fall into three categories; performance, comfort, and utility, all of which have been significantly upgraded during my ownership. I wanted something that could drive I-40 for days on end with the AC on max and cruise control set, as well as smash thru mountain passes at not-entirely-reasonable speeds. And so far, it hasn't let me down.
