Hey everyone I’ve been MIA for a minute dealing with some health issues and whatnot but I got around to finally getting a proper tune set up for the wrx a week or so ago and it seems to be working pretty well so far! Hopefully it stays that way. Can’t wait for spring to roll around so I can detail her and really do some fun mods! #teamwheelwell #subaru #wrx #jdm
Was driving home... did some highway pulls to get some logs on the accessport ... got off the highway and heard some scraping I immedialty new it was either my Wheelwell liner or my splash guard.... then right as I got to my drive way I heard a loud ripping noise.. looked in my rear view mirror and sure enough..
After months of indecision and searching I’ve decided on Konig Hypergram 47BZ’s in Bronze.
Once everything preventative and tuning wise is wrapped up. This will probably be the next and possibly final mod for the WRX for a long while. I’ve wanted new wheels since I got the car and hopefully I’ll get them by the time summer rolls around. #konig #wheels #subaru #teamwheelwell #wrx
#Toyota #Supra #BMW #JDM I’m sure everyone knows and has probably seen this picture floating around now, but for those who don’t... According to Car and Driver the new Supra will have a straight 6 Aswell as a 4cylinder option both produced by BMW. The initial release is most likely going to feature an 8 speed automatic. The 6 cylinder will push around 335-380 hp stock and the 4 will push about 270hp stock both will be turbocharged
YouTube has always served as the best place to get your daily dose of cars. Whether it’s VlogStyle car channels like SmurfinWRX, TJ Hunt, Adam LZ, underground documentary styled channels like 1320, comedy or review channels like RegularCarReviews, Muscle Vs Tuner, & ThatDudeInblue, or even Jay Leno’s Garage. There is no shortage of car channels at your disposal on the site. However, there is one outlier channel that isn’t as well known to the
Dropping off the WRX tonight at the Subaru dealership for a smoke test & installation of new mounts, knock sensor, etc and I’m Getting dejavu. I really wanted to avoid letting another shop or dealer touch the car again after my awful experiences in the past, but right now there isn’t really another option and the longer I let it sit with these issues the worse it’ll get. This’ll help narrow things down and a lot of problems
As much as I despise letting shops touch my car it Looks like I may end up having to take the car to the dealer for the motor mounts install. I dont seem to have the time lately to install the parts and they’re beginning to pile up. Hopefully I’ll be able to fit some of this stuff in on my own though.
Finally got these done. Been wanting new tints since I bought the car and I couldn’t be happier they came out. Get em done by Premier Tint Pros in Oswego, IL originally I wasn’t gonna get full tail light tints, but the staff talked me into trying them on one light to see if I like em and I did. They’re not overly dark so it still shows some red but matches the overall 2 tone look of the
’ve been slacking on my posts on here for a while. Ive been busy, but I’ve been meaning to write something on this for a while. Overall in my life I’ve always loved 5 things. Cars, films, fights, music, food. I wanna talk about the first two and how often they coincide and affect one another. This is something in car culture that although I know everyone is well aware of, yet I don’t think many of us
On the way home from the gym I stopped for gas and spotted this by the e85 pump. Owner was cool enough to let me get some pictures and even let me sit in the car. Pretty cool stuff. #wheelwell #teamwheelwell #forthebuild #delorean
Didn’t really intend on buying more parts but I’ve been feeling an odd amount of movement coming from the motor & trans lately. Knock sensor is also picking up vibration whenever I come off the line or when the trans shifts. I know the shop who swapped the motor had issues with the motor mounts and had to put my old ones back in which have over 100k miles on them so as a precaution I picked up some
So I haven’t been particularly active lately alot has been going on, but we changed the spark plugs on the wrx and found that 2 of the plugs were improperly gapped & cylinder 1’s was cracked and cylinder 4s was completely broken in half. For anyone curious the gap is supposed to be 0.030 2 were at 0.045/0.046 the other two were around the proper gap. Basically the shop who swapped my motor NEVER changed the spark plugs. So
Friendly reminder to everyone to be humble. Taking pride in your build is one thing, but going around and bragging that your car is built & not bought makes you look like a giant douche. Especially if you didn’t do the work yourself. Then it’s twice as bad. I overheard some guy bragging about how his Camaro was built & not bought and I asked him what he did to it and he said he bought it with everything
Not the best week for me or my car... Probably not gonna be posting as often for a lil while. I've been burning myself out mentally and physically working on this thing every night for the past 3 months and it seems to have finally caught up with me. So I'm gonna take a break from it for a while. Time to take a step back, re-evaluate & focus up on other things. In the mean time I may
Finally done with this crap and got the new brackets and pads on... a broken ratchet, swivel, 2 broken brackets and a week later anyway... again always check the work any shop does on your car. I’m legitimately never taking my car to a shop again for anything unless it’s for something severe. #subaru #wrx #teamwheelwell #forthebuild
