Hey everyone I’ve been MIA for a minute dealing with some health issues and whatnot but I got around to finally getting a proper tune set up for the wrx a week or so ago and it seems to be working pretty well so far! Hopefully it stays that way. Can’t wait for spring to roll around so I can detail her and really do some fun mods! #teamwheelwell #subaru #wrx #jdm

Nice! Hope the health stuff isn't too serious.

[]Ameer Idelah

Appreciate it! Just a shoulder tear issue. Possibly messed up a few nerves leading into the right arm. Luckily my car is auto so it doesn’t affect my driving ability so much lmfao.

I feel for anyone outside of Cali. They’re getting smashed with record lows.

[]Ameer Idelah

Yes sir I envy you guys in the winter but not during fires! Hit -30 this year over here.

[]Ernie Szots

What's winter? ❄🤣
Kidding aside, it was 36 degrees when I woke up this morning with ice on the grass and roofs. That's about as crazy as it gets here lol. How are you holding up?

[]Ameer Idelah

Sorry for the late response lol it’s been rough cars having loads of electrical issues I’ve skid on ice a few times thankfully the AWD caught grip and saved me lol. I was trying to check something on the engine last night and I lost feeling in my hands lol but ya know. Winter is winter 😂

After months of indecision and searching I’ve decided on Konig Hypergram 47BZ’s in Bronze. Once everything preventative and tuning wise is wrapped up. This will probably be the next and possibly final mod for the WRX for a long while. I’ve wanted new wheels since I got the car and hopefully I’ll get them by the time summer rolls around. #konig #wheels #subaru #teamwheelwell #wrx

#Toyota #Supra #BMW #JDM I’m sure everyone knows and has probably seen this picture floating around now, but for those who don’t... According to Car and Driver the new Supra will have a straight 6 Aswell as a 4cylinder option both produced by BMW. The initial release is most likely going to feature an 8 speed automatic. The 6 cylinder will push around 335-380 hp stock and the 4 will push about 270hp stock both will be turbocharged

Just not a fan of the partnerships so I'm not super excited, but I'm reserving judgement until we get more info on how it performs.

[]Ameer Idelah

Ah fair enough I understand. I like it tho I think they missed the mark on the launch.

YouTube has always served as the best place to get your daily dose of cars. Whether it’s VlogStyle car channels like SmurfinWRX, TJ Hunt, Adam LZ, underground documentary styled channels like 1320, comedy or review channels like RegularCarReviews, Muscle Vs Tuner, & ThatDudeInblue, or even Jay Leno’s Garage. There is no shortage of car channels at your disposal on the site. However, there is one outlier channel that isn’t as well known to the

Dropping off the WRX tonight at the Subaru dealership for a smoke test & installation of new mounts, knock sensor, etc and I’m Getting dejavu. I really wanted to avoid letting another shop or dealer touch the car again after my awful experiences in the past, but right now there isn’t really another option and the longer I let it sit with these issues the worse it’ll get. This’ll help narrow things down and a lot of problems

As much as I despise letting shops touch my car it Looks like I may end up having to take the car to the dealer for the motor mounts install. I dont seem to have the time lately to install the parts and they’re beginning to pile up. Hopefully I’ll be able to fit some of this stuff in on my own though.

Finally got these done. Been wanting new tints since I bought the car and I couldn’t be happier they came out. Get em done by Premier Tint Pros in Oswego, IL originally I wasn’t gonna get full tail light tints, but the staff talked me into trying them on one light to see if I like em and I did. They’re not overly dark so it still shows some red but matches the overall 2 tone look of the

’ve been slacking on my posts on here for a while. Ive been busy, but I’ve been meaning to write something on this for a while. Overall in my life I’ve always loved 5 things. Cars, films, fights, music, food. I wanna talk about the first two and how often they coincide and affect one another. This is something in car culture that although I know everyone is well aware of, yet I don’t think many of us

Death Race 2000. It's an absolute B-rate (at best) movie but things are just so ridiculous and over the top with the race that you can't help but love it.

Duel is another great one.

I'd have to say that the Fast and the Furious series probably effected my preference on cars the greatest. I had been raised around American stuff like old square body Chevy trucks, muscle cars like the Corvette (of the 60's) and the classic hot rods like the '32 Ford Coupe. The first movie came out right when I was coming of driving age and while I had experience messing with cars a little and got my fix through RC cars I had never actually driven a car. So, when I saw the first movie I fell in love. Fast cars with wild paint jobs and body kits, camaraderie, and tons of action I was hooked. This is exactly why my first car ended up being a Honda Civic with interior neons, a loud exhaust, and a ridiculous paint job.

[]Ameer Idelah

I was SO close to including death race 2000 In that list!!! and same here I grew up during the fast and furious franchise & the need for speed underground era. I also grew up in the transformers era and although they’re not the best movies they also boosted my interest in cars a lot. As a kid I was always tinkering with toys and legos and building stuff. I’ve always loved customization and tailoring things to fit your own wants and desires. Seems like although my cars driven me insane it’s also been the perfect platform for that haha. For a while I went through a muscle car phase and I swore up and down that my first car would be a camaro or mustang,, but that part of me always held true to dreaming of owning a GTR or Supra. In my later years I realized I’d want something all wheel drive and my parents refused to allow time to have a coup. It ended up leading to nearly purchasing a base model Impreza until the WRX presented itself. So I suppose it isn’t overly strange that I ended up going with “Japanese muscle” and now I’m always working on it. Some things never change. Always tinkering.

[]Wilson Oberholzer

Oh, how I missed the classic era of NFS. I remember using cheat codes to drift garbage trucks and piss off my friends whenever they got behind me, lol.

Was he still running that Peugot-Renault-Volvo V6? It's such an unreliable dog of a motor in such an interesting and cool looking package.

[]Ameer Idelah

It was pretty rad to sit in and actually see and yeah it still has that v6 aside from I think he said the dash and a few other minor things that were replaced with Newer parts the cars as it was when it first came out. Manual too

Didn’t really intend on buying more parts but I’ve been feeling an odd amount of movement coming from the motor & trans lately. Knock sensor is also picking up vibration whenever I come off the line or when the trans shifts. I know the shop who swapped the motor had issues with the motor mounts and had to put my old ones back in which have over 100k miles on them so as a precaution I picked up some

So I haven’t been particularly active lately alot has been going on, but we changed the spark plugs on the wrx and found that 2 of the plugs were improperly gapped & cylinder 1’s was cracked and cylinder 4s was completely broken in half. For anyone curious the gap is supposed to be 0.030 2 were at 0.045/0.046 the other two were around the proper gap. Basically the shop who swapped my motor NEVER changed the spark plugs. So

That sucks man. I’ve had to fire multiple mechanics for nonsense like this. The thing that I do that really annoys people is bringing a totque wrench to pick up my car to any new shop. I’m so freakin tired of lazy mechanics torquing lugs into oblivion, which creates the risk that I am wrestling a wheel off on the side of a busy road for absolutely no good reason. But tell a mechanic that you will be showing up with a lug wrench and it never seems to happen 🤷‍♂️

[]Timothy Markworth

The laziest mechanic in the world cringes at that. Holy smokes.

Friendly reminder to everyone to be humble. Taking pride in your build is one thing, but going around and bragging that your car is built & not bought makes you look like a giant douche. Especially if you didn’t do the work yourself. Then it’s twice as bad. I overheard some guy bragging about how his Camaro was built & not bought and I asked him what he did to it and he said he bought it with everything

Finally done with this crap and got the new brackets and pads on... a broken ratchet, swivel, 2 broken brackets and a week later anyway... again always check the work any shop does on your car. I’m legitimately never taking my car to a shop again for anything unless it’s for something severe. #subaru #wrx #teamwheelwell #forthebuild
