        It was march of last year when I got my first car, this impreza 2.5i. I wasn't very excited at first when I knew it was going to be my car because I had been out test driving g35's and looking at buying one. I want excited about the 4 speed automatic either but number one rule my father had, no manual cars for my first car so I was stuck with an automatic. So we take a 2 and a half hour drive just to pull up to the dealer 20 minutes before closing, my dad and I do a quick walk around and take it for a test drive, immediately there were some problems needing fix like the rear spoiler needing to be tighten and the alignment readjusted. It didn't bother me tho because I fell in love with the car. So we bought it but disaster struck on the journey home, a check engine light popped up, the engine began to hesitate when given throttle and white smoke began to emerge from the exhaust. We where an hour away from the dealer and a hour away from home at 1:00 am nowhere to get the car looked at so we had to limp it home. Finally getting home we had to let the car sit for a few days due to not having the tag or title but as soon as we got those in the mail we rushed it to the local repair shop, I didn't go with them due to school which I should have gone because they drove with the E break engaged. In total at the repair shop they couldn't find the problem with the engine so they flushed and changed all my fluids, my front disks had nothing left so those also had to be replaced but the most heart breaking was the center and rear diff breaking from the e break so those also had to be replaced. With the now oil change the smoke disappeared and the check engine light went away for a few days but then it all came back so the car was rushed to our local Subaru dealer which did a full point inspection keeping the car for a total of 2 long weeks, the head gaskets were destroyed pieces logged inside the engine so the engine had to be partially rebuilt, along with that 2 long pages of repairs and replaced items on the car. Though she had a very rough beginning she now runs castrol full synth high mileage oil, regular gas, and is kept up regularly. Like natural a car guy growing tired of his car being stock i soon started to save money and start buying performance parts for my Subaru, she now breaths happily with a injen cold air intake and a full exhaust system, uel headers, flow master highflow cat, deleted resonator, and a custom glass back muffler with a 4 inch tip. She has alot of history behind her but still has a long way to go, next mods I'm looking at are new wheels and tires with coilovers.
