Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it? I found this car at a local dealer despite setting my search radius to 250 miles...I guess I just got lucky. I just graduated from UConn and was ready to finally to ditch the old Gradma-hand-me-down 2000 Mazda Protege, and I had my sights set on the GTI from day one. I managed to get a fantastic deal on a slightly used (39K mile) 2015, and I haven't looked back since. Describe the modifications you've made. Where did you start, what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it? I just bought it, so I'm only doing protection mods right now such as Floor and trunk liners, mud flaps, rear seat cover for the dogs, etc. The car did come with a flowmaster catback exhaust and a carbon fiber rear valence, which was an added bonus. Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? We'll find out... How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share? What are you planning next? Some more cosmetic stuff first before I enter the realm of performance mods. I really want to get to know the car how she is now, and really know her in and out before I start changing things. However, I really have my eyes set on the ECS rear hatch pop kit, since I live in the northeast. What’s been the biggest challenge with this build? I anticipate the biggest challenge will be maintaining reliability.
