It was my first car which was later given to my brother as I got another car (2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT). Once that second car, the eclipse was totaled in a accident, I found my way back to this G35 sedan after my brother bought a new car. It was in very rough condition as he didn't care much about the car. The interior smelled of cigarettes, the leather was thrashed and ripped, and the exterior was overall, very beat up. Over time I have turned it into what it is now. I have big plans to make this car into the best shape it can be, without going over the top. Overtime I have been modding this car on a very budget friendly schedule. The first major modification I did to the car was a set of TruHart StreetMax Coilovers as the stock suspension was completely blown out. This modification was by far the best thing I could have done as it completely changed the feel of the car. It made it feel way more sporty than it did before and the car felt brand new. Plus, on the way down my road of modifications, the adjustability of these coilovers has made my several stages of ride height changes possible. Soon after I took my next paycheck and went to get the car straight piped. Now this isn't a complete straight pipe, but it is damn near one. I got a 3 inch stainless steel straight pipe from the cat-back. The thing is damn loud and sounds amazing. I have got he most enjoyment out of that exhaust work by far. After the exhaust work, i had to wait a couple months to get my set of wheels and tires. I got a set of ESR SRO7 rimes ,18x9.5in with a +35 offset wrapped with a Hankook Ventus S1 Noble All Season Tire. The only complaint i have with these tires is the tread life, but other than that for an All Season, these tires really grip. Now that I have 3 of the main exterior modifications out of the way, I can explain the biggest change of the car, the interior. It started out as a part out idea with my dad to make a little bit extra cash. We bought a wrecked G35 Sedan, same year as my car, from a neighbor to part out. Little did we know that their interior was black, and in pristine condition. My interior was Tan and in terrible condition, so this was the start of a slow swap of the tan interior, to the black interior. During this process i replaced everything except for the dashboard and steering wheel which will actually be swapped here shortly as well. I also wrapped the headliner in a galaxy pattern which gives it and amazing effect. This interior swap was probably the best thing i could have done for the car as it feels brand new. To end off my process of renewing the car, i put in a engine with lower miles on it, so now everything on this car has been touched. The car may have 235k miles on it, but everything else is brand new.
