Doesn't seem to bite as hard as the Hawk HP Plus track pads, but these seem to modulate better than the HP Plus and brake much better than the Hawk HPS. If Hawk's part comparison is to be believed on their site, these pads should operate at a higher temp and provide more friction than the HP Plus. Initial brake bedding is a MUST. These brakes will squeal very, very, loud until you perform the bed-in procedure. Once I bed-in the pads, these seem to squeal much less than the HP Plus pads. I would give this part 5 star, but there is a lot of brake dust, which must be washed off after each track event, unless you want the dust to potentially damage your wheel's paint.
