This car started out life as an automatic 1998 VW Cabrio Highline edition with about 88,000 miles on the chasis. It was my friend's car and they stopped driving it due to the typical auto transmission blowing up. The shell is spotless with next to no rust which is hard to come by on MK3's in New England. It sat in the woods for 2 years and was about to go to the crusher when I decided to bring it back to life. Since taking ownership I have done a 2.8L 12valve VR6 swap, manual transmission swap, disk brake and 5-lug swap, lowered it and done the Jetta front end. Along with all new hubs, bearings, brakes, bushings, tie rods, etc. The car has come a long way, but it has a long way to go and some big plans and dreams (maybe another motor swap       )
