I bought this car in 2014 from a friend of mine who was in the middle of restoring it. He was almost done with the interior and had replaced many mechanical parts. It has Metco adjustable rear axle upper and lower control arms, Goodyear blue hoses under the hood, and a Swiss cheese air box, K&N filter with the homeplate removed. Since owning it I have replaced the serpentine belt and tensioner, radiator, radiator fan motor and temp sensor. It has 2 chamber Flowmasters on it, but soon I hope to put some long tube headers on it and a custom exhaust system with electric cutouts. Then a complete paint job and the rest of the interior! Right now I am trying to find someone that can re-program the computer to turn the cooling fans on at a lower temperature. I've read that it comes on around 230 degrees, but I think that is too hot, so I unplugged the temp sensor in the water pump so both fans run constantly, for now. These summer afternoons stuck in Atlanta traffic are harsh on a cooling system! Well, after years of great service and performance, I decided to sell my Impala SS. It was bitter sweet, but it was time!
