I need help, and advise i just bout this 1965 mustag coupe, and i want to know what could be a good

[]Hayden Baker

QA1 makes great product for classic muscle. You get buy their stuff as a complete kit or improve as time and budget allow. Also a 4 speed top loader or a 5 speed to 500 would be good depending on what you need. Avoid the regular T5. It would quickly become a weak link

[]Bryan Virula

Thanks, yea am having a hard time looking for a transmission, alot people tell me that a t5 is the best option but idk what to choose any more and i dont want an after market one they are expensive

[]Bryan Virula

A 5 speed top loader?!

[]Hayden Baker

No 4 speed top loader or a 5 speed tko500

[]Bryan Virula

Thank you a really appreciate your help and advice, i didn’t know those old top loaders were that strong to handle that power

[]Hayden Baker

They're strong because they're simple and overbuilt. They're also easy to rebuild with one of many kits to upgrade any weak points. I'd really like to have the 5th gear but the 4 speed would be very era appropriate. Glad I could help man

[]Bryan Virula

Thanks Man! Appreciate the help, and sorry to bother you again, or being annoying, but do you know any complete suspension kit, that i can get, the qa1 are just shocks for the year of my mustang

[]Hayden Baker

Ride tech makes good stuff. Not cheap though. I'd focus on sway bars, shocks, and springs. And bushings! Replace all the bushings. I wouldn't worry about control arms unless you just really need the adjustability.

Ok thank you man!!
