Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it?

Bought this car for $800 sitting on the side of someone's house. Drove by it per chance and saw a for sale sign. Looked inside to see the odometer reading 64,000, and knew it'd be a great buy if it didn't leak. Owner said he started it weekly and drove on occasion. No leaks except the rear diff were visible, so i bought it. Performed necessary maintenance and drove it for a few months only changing the wheels. Had it painted and the modding began... Describe the modifications you've made. Where did you start,  what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it? The first true mod was lowering it, because it had about as much wheel gap as your dad's F-150. Rode like a boat and handled about as well. I knew these cars had potential, so I ordered stiffened lowering springs from coilsprings.com and new kyb shocks. The ride was much improved and so was the look. At the time, the car was on 15" steelies and skinny tires. I purchased the factory handling package wheels (seen above) off a junk car for $80 and had the lips polished. I painted the centers to get that "BBS" look. Also I purchased a set of front a rear sway bars from ADTR.net which completely changed how this thing handled. Body roll was minimized and the wider tires helped her stick to the road. One day I would like upgraded control arms as well. As far as "go fast" parts, I upgraded the rear end with a 3.73 gear set and posi. Also have a bbk 70mm throttle body and ported plenum w/spacer. My current plans include newer style PI heads and CMS cams, along with a newer intake off an '04 police model. Already have stainless works long tub headers, just not installed. Also want to swap out the clutch fan for electric and add steeda underdrive pulleys. Not going all out, but looking to keep up with the newer guys. A high stall torque converter and shift kit, and a better trans cooler, will help out as well. Also looking to upgrade the front brakes to the '98 to '02 style because these SUCK. Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? Sway bars. Gotta plant these boats the best you can How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share? Crownvic.net and previous experience. Also ADTR.net has been a huge help. These cars are easy to build and the aftermarket engine parts are abundant thanks to mustang guys. What are you planning next? Engine and brake mods mentioned above. What’s been the biggest challenge with this build? Dolla dolla bills y'all. Cars aren't cheap and I'm in college.
