Bought this in July 2017 in Knoxville, TN after literally a year of shopping for the right Mustang. The new ones are nice but the design just doesn’t say Mustang to me. I debated between California Special and Shelby GT500 convertibles but since it would be mostly a road trip/show car, I decided on the 5.0 over the rarer, more onerous supercharged 5.8 from 2013-2014. Many disagreed with me and if they were paying for it, I’d be happy to drive whatever they want. However, this is my fifth Mustang. I’ve had 600+ hp monsters before and just didn’t want the headaches of another high powered car. The 5.0 is easier to maintain and gets much better gas mileage. Immediately after taking delivery and driving 730 miles home, the first thing I did was put a Borla sport catback exhaust. The stock exhaust was too quiet. I put a weighted shift knob in it to make shifting smoother. I will eventually do suspension mods to make it handle better but for now just enjoying it as a fun car.
