Crawford FMIC Air /Oil Seperator

What made you choose this particular product?

I wanted a high quality AOS to remove the blowby oil that is so comomonly associated with Subarus.

Is this your first time buying from this brand? Did you consider other brands?

This is the first time and although I considered the unit from IAG, they both do the same thing but this one is a long time proven design and I got it for an absolute STEAL, brand new, below cost from Andrewtech.

Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?

Install was a confusing as I'd never worked on the PCV system before or had any previous knowledge of how one worked or what it did. After the install though I can say I'm now well verse and know my way around the system no problem.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

Absolutely. The intake manifold and tract both had noticeable oil blowby in them before the install and afterwords everything has been clean as a whistle. The AOS has been a big improvement over the stock system.

Any additional comments?

Be sure to by extract heat shielding sleeves as some of the tubing runs very close to the turbo.

Great part so far. One of the lines was slightly shorter that perfect but overall the install was easy if not time consuming. Make sure you purchase a throttle body gasket, some 1/4 in worm gear clamps, and a small box of assorted hose caps to close off the turbo inlet lines you will no longer be using. Some additional heat sleeves for the top coolant feed line and the crankcase breather send and return lines would also be nice as the send line touches the cold side of the turbo and the return is fairly close to the hot side of the turbo.
