Shop Tools ModsBrowsing Cargurus.com one day for a good deal on local GTIs. Every time I would search for a 2013 GTI this Red MK7 kept popping up, assuring me it was an insane deal, I had to snag it. Dealer didn't even disclose it had Xenon lights, excellent plus! Previous car was a Passat and what tipped me to change was my increasing interest in automotive performance tuning, manual transmission, and a fun-to-drive car. Started modifying Cherryl with a JB1 (Burger Motorsports) I found by talking with a member of NorCal VW Drivers Club. I installed it with a little help from my old friend Andy. Eventually I found an intercooler from a Golf R posted for sale. It was in the South Bay offered up for $100. I thought I could use the cooling on a track day or spirited drives with NorCal group members (see photo of entire group). Picked up the intercooler and Steve didn't want my money, instead he just wanted me to "do three favors in the future". While I have never tracked my car it's always been a future goal of mine. I love Laguna Seca and plan on preparing my car in the hopes that one day I may complete a lap in my GTI there. Be sure to check out my YouTube channel: YouTube.com/gtimodblog
