VEHICLE STORY

This was a neglected insurance total (see door and passenger rear quarter damage).  I picked it up for around $1500 with a salvage title and a lot of issues. After chasing a ton of vacuum and oil leaks including a giant hole in the back of the valve cover gasket, new PVC and ICV valves it actually idles pretty flat. New suspension and wheels came next though I went OEM ride height because I was weeks between the suspension install and getting my junkyard BBS RS740's back from the refinisher and didn't want to mess up with fitment. Then I had to address the previous owner's choice of a 3" straight pipe, cat delete exhaust system which couldn't have embodied the concept of a fart cannon better if someone actually tried.  The new 2 1/4" pipes with Magnaflow setup gives the car a lot of power back and sounds like an actual adult owns the vehicle. I'm still pulling dents, building my own interior trim bits and savaging junkyards for parts but so far I'm in about 2800 on a pretty fun canyon carver. Eventually I'll get this car on the track and see how it handles but for now I can't seem to brake loose the wheels no matter what I do so I'm pretty happy with it.
