ECS Tuning was started in 1962 by Andrew Demrovsky in Norton, Ohio as European Car Service. It was originally a two-bay service shop that focused exclusively on Volkswagen, in a time when that brand was barely recognizable. Over time and with the skilled craftsman of Andrew Demrovsky, European Car Service became and name synonymous with quality. In the 1970’s Andrew’s son Andrew Jr. took over the operations of the shop and it started to grow. The shop grew in foot-print when European Car Service started working on other European brands such as Mercedes, BMW and Porsche. Due to their unique craftsmanship skills the shop started performing special custom repairs and modifications that that enhanced performance. It was at this point that the continuing ethos of the company was really born. The 1980’s saw the third generation of Demrovsky’s enter the business and by the end of the decade the company had grown by opening a second location as well as a separate parts business. The mid-1990’s saw the company offering the very first product produced in-house, the Audi S4 big brake kit. The success of that product created the foundation for producing even more performance oriented products such as boost gauges, stainless-steel braided brake lines, etc. In early 2000, a second company called ECS Tuning was formed to wholly address the rapidly growing performance market for European performance cars and sports sedans. At this time, the very first website was set up as well. Although quite simplistic at first, ECS was was shipping unique performance products around the world within a few short years. It was also around this time that ECS started to carefully develop a line of select distributors that could further promote and sell the full line of performance and maintenance products. In a time when more and more companies decided to focus exclusively on online sales and moving products through websites, ECS decided to maintain and even grow our customer service telephone lines. It has been this commitment to customer service that has helped us grow even further and maintain a very large and loyal following of individual customers as well as other service shops around the country and beyond. In 2006, the service side of the business, European Car Service, was closed to focus solely on the development and sales of performance products for Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Volkswagen. Today ECS Tuning lives in a large modern facility in Wadsworth, Ohio housing all of our staff including marketing, sales, research & development, product support, inventory management, and customer service. Our warehouse contains more than 1.3 million parts that are shipped out regularly all over the world. Our vast inventory of parts today include not only performance parts developed in-house but also performance components from other manufacturers as well as original parts for all the various European brands that we serve. ECS has been around for a long time, with a goal to provide the best parts and the best service in the world. That continues today combining our old-fashion values of customer service.
