Car purchased in 2014 with 140,000 miles for £800. Blown head gasket, disintegrated plastic water pump, leaking radiator, missing left-hand gearbox mount, missing crankshaft position sensor, damaged PCV system hoses causing SMIC and intake to fill with oil, broken HT ignition coil, knackered turbocharger bearings.Driven 1500 miles to the Austrian Alps and back.Fitted with uprated stainless steel water pump, all new timing belt system, uprated Forge recirculating Blow Off Valve, high flow radiator, NGK spark plugs, Beru coilpacks, rebuilt (Turbo Dynamics) and ported & polished K03 (stock) turbocharger, all new engine sensors and an ECU remapped by Revo. Positive Crankcase Ventilation system completely removed and replaced with an Integrated Engineering oil catch can.Cylinder head has been custom ported and polished with smoothed and mildy reshaped combustion chambers, casting lines removed, intake and exhaust runners opened and reshaped slightly and all polished to a mirror finish. Valves have been individually checked, polished and lapped in.**To be finished** Cylinders bored out from 81mm to 83mm and a brand new forged 2.0T FSI crankshaft fitted to bring the displacement to 2008cc.**Will soon be fitted with a Borg Warner EFR 7163 turbo, custom dyno tune and a front-mount intercooler, matched with high-flow fuel injectors and a 3" stainless steel exhaust.All work carried out other than ECU remapping is done by myself.
