So the Honda Del Sol has always been one of my dream cars. So when I found a decent 95” Del Sol Si shell for a hundred I hopped on it, and brought that beauty home to attempt to restore and build up this dream project of mine. Soo after getting her home and doing a further inspection of her I discover that the body actually has 2 rust patches on the lower rear quarter panel on both sides. I then decided to remove all the interior that was left in the shell, and while in the process I discovered some paperwork claiming the car was from NY. Which now tells me there’s good chances I’ll find some more rust. So as I tear out all the old carpet to check the floorboard I am proven right by discovering a small rust hole behind my passenger seat. Discovering these minor imperfection really hurt me but I get what I pay for in this instance. So later down the road she’ll be getting some body work. After my disappointment I decided to take my mind off of it. And start planning for the rebuilding phase deciding what I want to put into her by the end and what can I afford to just get her running and off the ground.
