The Chevy Cruze was bought brand new back in 2012. Originally the car was my daily driver and gas saver with the Eco model and the 6 speed manual transmission. Because of some friends influence for autocross, I began to get involved.  My first autocross experience was with Speed ventures in Fontana CA. Ever since then I was hooked and ready to get my car to that level of autocross.  After doing some research and with the help of some friends and family, I started modifying my car for the track. First mod was the Injen cold air intake, custom 2.5 inch catback exhaust with resonator delete and a race series MagnaFlow stainless steel muffler. I then started taking my car to Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside CA, where my times started at a 59 sec.(stock) and making my way down to 56 - 57 sec. with the intake and exhaust.  Next mod was Eibach pro kit lowering springs, which shaved off 3 - 4  more seconds off my overall time bringing me down to 53 - 54 sec. At Adams Motorsports Park. But I couldn't stop there, I was so hooked on time attack that I had to take it a bit further. Next mod was 18x8 Andros Spec D wheels wraped in 235/45/18 Hankook Ventus R-S3 tires along with some slotted rotors and some Hawk HP Plus break pads, which shaved my time significantly to a 50.6 sec. The car is still a work in progress and I have plans for some other mods that will get me more power and better handling. Rear bolt on sway bar. Front strut bar. Down pipe and mid pipe. Future coil over upgrade.
