This is one of those cars that I should never have sold. It was a great vehicle, never gave me an ounce of trouble, road beautifully, was quiet and comfortable and an absolute bear in the snow.

I know a bit about that too because I drove it from Connecticut to Oregon in December of 2007. I cruised right pass 4x4s of all kinds up and over mountain passes in Wyoming, Utah and California. 

I decided to sell the car largely because of soaring gas prices and the illusion of job security. I did not realize a financial collapse was looming and that getting that brand new 2008 VW Rabbit actually wasn't the best idea. 

Actually, I really miss that Rabbit too...
