The WS80's are a great tire. I've "tested" them in snow up to 20 inches and have had 0 issues with getting stuck or sliding. In matted snow and ice, there a slight twitch where you may have to correct your angle, but they're much better than the Michelin Alpins I used to run. I've been able to drive on those surfaces around 40 MPH without issues, and at around 60 you may experience some slip (of course). In normal driving weather below 45 degrees (F) they perform very well with very little role or road noise. During the spring when temps begin to rise above 50, there is some noticeable role, but nothing where traction becomes an issue. I've driven roughly ~20,000 miles on them and plan to buy another set after winter of '17.
