We have road tested the new 2018 Honda Civic Type R, but now it is time to see what it is made of on track. The previous car was something of a weapon in the right hands , so can this 316bhp hot hatchback improve? Will front wheel drive prove to be an issue? We push the 2.0 litre turbo VTEC machine on the Lausitzring in Germany.Undoubtably fast with a top speed of 169 MPH, the Type R really shows its agility through the bends. It is a car that thrives in technical elements and the Brembo brakes can really be relied upon. Rev matching can be turned off for those who have mastered the art for themselves. The new 2018 Honda Civic Type R costs from £30,995. Check out our full review: https://youtu.be/zcxMlQlrE1Y
