VEHICLE STORY

This is my 2011 Fusion Sport I picked up new back in June 2011. I came from a heavily modified 1999 Cougar, I parted ways with that project and picked up the Fusion. I always liked the 1.5 gen Fusion styling, reminded me of the Mondeo ST220. I daily drive this car so I wanted a comfortable car with AWD for our snowy winters. My plans for it is to make it a fun daily, something I can take on long trips without wearing me out, pick up groceries, etc. and still do the odd Autocross or canyon road.

Have a look at the list! Rear sway bar, exhaust work, tune...

Hey there, I left the factory resonators as is. All I really did was an axle back exhaust replacing the stock mufflers with the vibrant resonators.

[]Jeremy Greathouse

Hey what did you do with the resonators? Did you just replace the stock mufflers or do something like a cat back?

[]Ivan Smiljanec

Hey Ryan, I got the 36mm festoon bulbs from a Canadian company called lightdepot. I saved on shipping with them. You can also try vleds or superbright leds

[]Ryan Conover

Nice ride dude. I like the color choice :). Kind of a weird question. What LEDs did you get for your license plate lights. I ask because I got some for mine and theywere fine for the first week or two and then they seemed to not have very good contact and would come on and off randomly. Did you do the 38 or 39 MM?

[]Jeremy Greathouse

I was thinking about going with either the borla or magnaflow exhaust. And yes I am but I just havent set up my info yet. Jeremygnaz is my username.

[]Ivan Smiljanec

Anytime! I've been messing around with the car for a while now, let me know if you have any other questions!

[]Jeremy Greathouse

Awesome. Thanks for all the info.

[]Ivan Smiljanec

They used Vibrant ultra quiet resonators (1141) vibrantperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1022_1033_1055&products_id=46 They will also sell you the mufflers for $90 plus shipping. I spoke to them a while ago and they no longer make the system. There has been a few guys that bought the mufflers/resonators and did an axle back with them or full exhaust. The wheels were $65 per wheel, it really was a great price and it included sand blasting and acid dip to get the factory powder coating off. I had a range of places from $100 to $65.

I like the mrt as well but I can't find the system on their site. so I'm going to call them up one day and see what they used. I read somewhere that they used the mustang mufflers from one of their kits to get that sound. By the way how much was the powder coat on your wheels? I just plastidiped to see if I liked it before paint.

[]Ivan Smiljanec

Oh sweet, I'm Black00Betty on there. Lots of guys like both cat backs.. I've really grown a liking to the MRT/Vibrant sound. Plus I want 2.5" piping. I'm going to do a bit of research and order piping online.

[]Ivan Smiljanec

Are you on the forums? Fordfusionclub.com? or FB groups?

[]Ivan Smiljanec

I had the wheels powder coated locally gloss black. and there is a bit of drone with the muffler delete but it doesn't bother me at all. Just a little extra noise.. I'll probably end up doing a custom mandrel bent cat back sooner or later. youtube.com/watch?v=7Q8B6fyRPYk

[]Jeremy Greathouse

And how do you like it with the muffler delete? Any louder or any drone?

[]Jeremy Greathouse

Did you pick up the wheels already black or paint them?
