VEHICLE STORY

Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it?This is my first vehicle and i picked this particular truck because of the stepside bed that it has. I found it online and whent and looked at it. during the test drive the throtle stuck wideopen and  the truck had to be shut off to stop it. it didn't really bother me or my dad because of the fact that we were doing an engine swap.Describe the modifications you've made. Where did you start, what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it?some of the modifications that have been made to the truck is that when i bought it, it was 2wd and we changed it over to 4wd. we swapped out the original 5.0 for a 7.3 powerstroke diesel. i have also put a banks intercooler on it and a tuner to help boost the power of the truck. the old mechanical fuel pump started to go out so it was relpaced with an efuel system. it has a fully rebuilt transmission to hold all the power that it has and to not have any problems. some of the body modifications that have been made are the bumpers that i had built for the truck.Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck?the biggest bang for the buck on the truck was the tuner for the engine it really helps wake it up.How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share?all the parts for the truck are from other ford trucks of this generation and all the parts bolt on. some tips that i have is to make sure you have absolutely everything that is needed like all the wiring and stuff like that. What are you planning next?my plans for the truck next is to get bigger injectors for it and to install the 3in downpipe that i have for it.What’s been the biggest challenge with this build?the biggest challenge for this build was the amount of time that it took to put it all together and get it to run and move under its own power.
