Shop Wheels & Tires ModsI purchased this car from Harvey (who owns TheBootCreep in Longmont, CO). It took me over a year to buy the car from Harvey. Originally this was Troy's (owner of Suba Performance in Denver, CO) personal car. Troy built the original motor, that Harvey blew, and then assembled the current short block for Harvey (that Harvey installed). I have pictures that date back to when Troy originally purchased the car and am very familar with it's history. This car inspired me to sell my Legacy GT Spec B to purchase my black 1998 2.5rs for my daily.

Nice quality build. Not often you run into these RS's. AWD power!
[–]Jake Petersen
Thank you sir. I am very happy with how it has turned out.

Nice car bud, love me those ol' 2.5RS cars more than any of their newer stuff!
[–]Jake Petersen
Thank you. I'm the same way, but the 2015+ sure do handle well out of the box!

man i love subies haha, would love to own one some day!
[–]Jake Petersen
They are fun cars and they can be fairly affordable. Let me know if you ever need advice on what to look for when you go to buy one!

I love these RS with the sti swaps. Great story and good to see you get the spot light.
[–]Jake Petersen
Thanks man! I love these cars. Relatively light weight, solid power, and parts are plentiful due to the Lego quality of Subarus.

Those RS 2 doors are getting relatively rare. Not many came to the US in the first place. Matt Farah has a great 1 take video of one set up like yours
[–]Jake Petersen
They are relatively rare and given they are econoboxes, most are rusted out and beat from years of hard use. Matt's review was great (if you don't listen to his Pod Cast..do, I might like it better than his One Takes). They are fun little cars, especially if you add a DCCD and get the suspension dialed in.

Very nice Jake! I love how clean you kept it even with all the mods you've done to it. Well done!
[–]Jake Petersen
Thanks Kit! I'm really happy with the car. I'm going to repaint it the factory aspen white this summer.
[–]Jake Petersen
Thank you Mike. I don't like the feel, or lack of feel rather, of ABS. I love my current set up!
[–]Mike Sheppard
Curious as why you deleted the ABS, and how you like you brake set up?
[–]Mike Sheppard
If I do another Subaru this would be it! Sweet ride!
[–]Gen Hansen
Lol, he would miss it! Just tell him to stay focussed on the 818 project.
[–]Gen Hansen
So YOU bought Harvey's car!! Mad jelly!
[–]Jake Petersen
Gen, I sure did. I think Harvey is starting to miss it!

That thing must be a blast to drive. A GC8 with 472 HP will smoke just about anything
[–]Jake Petersen
Aaron - its quick, but there are plenty of things much faster. That said, it is more than fast enough for me!
[–]JB Blackshire
Awesome car. I've had my eye out for one of these for the past 4 years. Just haven't found one in a condition that I wanted to as of yet.
[–]Jake Petersen
JB - They are hard to find. It took me quite some-time to track this one down. Funny enough, 6 months later I bought a 2nd!
