What made you choose this particular product?
Since I chose to use the K-Tuned Race Spec Shifter the K-Tuned base plate was chosen to ensure a proper fit, dinish and to keep the interior cohesive.
Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?
This install would have been very easy on a manual shell/chassis but since my car was an auto my tunnel area is slightly different. This required me to drill ALL 4 holes and I couldn't rely on the back two bolt holes which would otherwise be threaded. On an automatic DC2/4 there are two blank holes that you can drill your first two holes into which will line your base plate up, then proceed to mark your next two top holes with a punch and you will be alright. Next since they didn't include enough hardware for this type of install I needed to go out and buy 2 more M8 nylon lock nuts and 4 M8 washers to ensure proper load distribution. Then youre plate is installed!
Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?
