Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it? I got this truck around April 2017. Bought it for 600 bucks as my first truck. At the time I was looking for a 1988-1994 Chevy or GMC pickup. I stumbled upon this one on Craigslist and the guy selling offered a good deal. Describe the modifications you've made. Where did you start, what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it? The truck orginally came with the 4.6 Vortec V6 that didn't run because the block was cracked. I swapped in the 5.7 TBI and wiring harness. A long with a new dash and bench seat all from a 1990 GMC pickup. The truck does have a glasspack catback exhaust. A Kenwood head unit and new speakers with a 12 inch sub. I also have bought a Tuffy Country 2 inch leaf lift kit and Energy suspension Polyurethane bushings but haven't installed it yet. Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? My stereo is probably my favorite mod because I love listening to music and have wanted to have subs in a car since I was 13 years old. How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share? for getting parts I usually check out Summit Racing and LMC Truck. What are you planning next? I'm planning to restore the truck to a retro/factory 1990s state where it looks OEM but has hints of new parts and features. What’s been the biggest challenge with this build? I haven't hit to many challenges. These old 350 TBIs are very reliable.
