Greetings from Finland! Back in 2012, I was on hunt for THE MKIV. Found guy selling his original JDM TwinTurbo 6spd white MKIV relatively close to me and agreed on trading cars. He drove off in -06 BMW E90 diesel and I drove off in white MKIV. Car had had inspection done some time ago so "basic" things like safety and suspension were ok. However, after few miles engine temp gauge went from "OK" to "not so ok :(". Drove carefully with heater fully on and windows open and got safely back home. Flushed coolant fluids (they were brown/black) but that didn't help. Changed radiator to 2nd hand thick aluminium radiator and changed head gasket. Now were back in business again! Later I found out that it was original radiator that was full of "mud" and couldn't cool even a moped... Boost was missing also from 4k rpm up. Went wrong path again and did full decat. Well didn't help at all. Tested TTC mode and what do you know, 2nd turbo came to life. Oh joy! After driving a year with BPU+ TTC there was need for more power. 2013 decided to go single turbo. Installed chinese Garrett copy and drove with stock JDM fuel system and ECU. Fall 2013 upgraded fuel system with MAPECU and 750cc injectors. Drove like shit.  During winter 2013-2014 pulled engine out, installed Tilton clutch, replaced all gaskets and painted the block. Cleaned excess water piping and removed stock oil filter housing. 2014 removed MAPECU, filled tank with E85 and lowered fuel pressure to 2,5bar. Worked surprisingly well. 2015 installed Ecumaster EMU and started mapping it. I had dyno scheculed for April 21 and  numbers were way higher than I expected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5jDlPvYYRQ << Last dyno pull video There were some boost spikes to 25psi, but most of the time MAP was around 20-22psi during the pulls. Finally, after dyno I started to dial in acceleratoin enrichments and cold starts. Car starts on E85 first time I turn the key! Considering MAT and CLT read +5C (41F). Also getting closer with acc. enrich. settings and engine goes almost without hesitation. Just a small lean spikes in logs. Drivability is great now and I can start just enjoying my car!
