VEHICLE STORY

So the story behind this car is that I actually had another 65 before this one that my dad had actually given me as my first car. At 18 it was so cool and exciting to have an old school car as my first car especially because I grew up around them, it was in no shape to drive but I daily drove it anyways and slowly worked on it. Then somewhere around 2011 I got really sick and was bedridden for about a year but I’m never the type to just sit down and take it so when I had the energy I would go into my parents garage with who I lived with at the time and I would slowly work away on it and that’s when I discovered that I was good at this and this is what I wanted to do with my life. I guess everything happens for a reason. It was a 200 cubic in straight six car and I kept it that way and blew two motors until I took engine machining in college where I disassembled, cleaned, machined and built my own motor from scratch. I ran that little motor for 8 years and through my college and adolescent life my car grew with me. In 2017 I had a friend that worked at a parts store but they also sold cars, we had planned to all go out to dinner that night but they got a little behind so I met them at the shop. They showed me some of the cars they had sitting and I saw a red 66 under a tarp and I asked him about it and he said it was a full v8 car. I instantly knew I needed this donor car so I asked about it and he gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse so I bought it. I took out the drivetrain and commenced a v8 swap into my car in my parents driveway and it was completed in two months even with working a 9-5 as an auto tech. I got to drive it for a while, it even made it to San Francisco. I started adding more things still little by little but on the 6th of may 2018 after sorting out some tuning bugs with my two friends I said lets go on a celebratory dinner trip and we did, but at a red light a truck behind us got sent flying into us by a drunk driver that was going double the speed limit and we got sandwiched into the car in front. I still don’t know how we managed to make it out of that one. My friends and I were fine but the car was totaled. Long story short I bought this car with the insurance money as soon as the doctors visits ended and the deposit cleared in about July of 2018 and I’m slowly working on getting this car to be everything and more because you only get one life so you might as well make the most badass ride you can
