So this car started as a dream for me - I've always thought the Cobra was one of the best looking cars ever designed. Beautiful lines, beast of a car, raw sound. I knew I would never own one for myself but I got the chance to build one with my father in law as a bonding experience for us before the wedding. Building a car, even a kit, is a long, educational experience. We would build it together some times, but since the car was just outside my house I would sneak away in the night and early mornings and work on it... it was an amazing experience. I have to say I built 75% of the car with the rest split between my father in law and my uncle who worked on the the wiring for us as we knew little about electrical. We built the car just in time for my wedding and we were able to drive the car off after the ceremony. Fast forward 8 years... my build partner is now my Ex-Father-In-Law lol and he graciously sold me the car we toiled on for 6 months. I can't say it is completely done yet because it is still in primer, which is awesome because I dont have to tip toe around a $6,000 paint job, and I love every second of owning it. This car will stop a show no matter what else is around. It will fit in with exotic car owners, imports, muscle cars... all people seem to have the same love for the car that I did when I thought it was a dream and still do today. It still sounds like nothing else out there and still makes me nervous when I start the engine. I wish everyone could have one, but until that day I will make sure to enjoy it for everyone.
