The stock tires on the WRX were the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 245/40 summer tires. They were noticeably noisier and harder once it got colder. I've also heard stories of running these tires during snow so I decided to upgrade the wheels and tires at the same time. I paired the Michelin Pilot Sport 265/35 with the Mach V 18" x 9.5" wheel. The Michelin's have great reviews so I went with them. Having a meatier tire also allows for a slightly more comfortable ride. Road noise has never really bothered me (we are talking about Subarus here) and these haven't added any noticeable noise. The wheel and tire combo fills in the wheel well very nicely and haven't had any rubbing issues. Definitely recommend this combo for anyone interested in running all seasons all year long!
