I decided I wanted another bike. I test rode a 2013 Ducati Hyperstrada and was amazed at how nice a totally upright riding position was. It was so comfortable compared to my previous bikes, plus super easy to go through corners since it's so light weight. I found a 2014 Ducati Hypermotard SP on Craigslist for $12k, but didn't have quite that much money so I was looking for a Hyperstrada for under $9k. They before I was going to check one out at Motocorsa, I decided to search on Craigslist again and the SP had been reduced to $10k. As far as I could tell from all the other SPs and Hyperstradas for sale, $10k for an SP with only 1466 miles on it and factory warranty with 4 months left was a good deal so I went ahead and bought it from a guy just outside Portland. It doesn't have the bags, windscreen, or touring seat that the Hyperstrada did, but the suspension is fully adjustable, has carbon bits, and cooler color scheme along with a couple other things. I can just get bags, windscreen, and seat and easily throw them on.
