Shop Wheels & Tires ModsThis is my (in progress) 1985.5 LS1 swapped Porsche 944. This project is a bit of a dark horse. When I started it, my daily driver was a 1998 Toyota Avalon (loved that car, had 320k on it), and my second car was a 2003 Corvette Z06 in Electron Blue with 17k miles. Well, one day I wrecked the Toyota beyond repair. The Z makes a shitty snow car, so I sold it and picked up this project, as well as my 04 CTS-V. Two LS-powered cars for the price of one, not bad! Well, it's been a blessing a curse as they say. For one, project cars take cash. Lots of it. But I have learned a lot so I guess I'll consider that an investment in my education. Anyway, the 944 is being built as a weekend/track car. Currently it's in KOI Orange Plasti-Dip until I deem it worthy to invest in a good paint job, but damn does she run! Equally as fast as my Z if not a little faster, and the STEERING! Oh the steering input on these cars is just phenominal. Anyway, some other fun bits about this car. It has a Porsche brake master cylinder, BMW 7-series brake hydroboost, Lexus LS430 front calipers and Boxster S rotors. How about that for a brake setup?! But boy does it haul to a stop. Wishing I had done ABS in hindsight, but that will just take some getting used to. Any questions, just drop me a line! I love talking cars!
