1. Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it? I was searching for a car to buy, back in 2014, my friend came across this A4 for sale. It was a great deal, already had some tasteful mods done to it, so I picked it up as fast as the previous owner would sell it to me. 2. Describe the modifications you have made. Where did you start, what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it? My first real mod was installing an 034 Motorsport rear Anti-Roll Bar. I knew it wasn’t a fast car, but I just wanted to be able to put handle most of the other cars I’d see in the canyons of Southern California. My most recent mod was upgrading to the B5 S4 front brakes. My motivation was knowing I’d need more stopping power if I wanted more horsepower and torque. 3. Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? I would have to say the APR stage 1+ tune. It’s a bit pricey, but the power gains are some of the biggest out there for almost no work at all. 4. How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share? I selected my parts after doing a bit of research on forums, seeing what other people were having success with, and what worked well. Then I went out and did price comparisons before making a final decision. As for tips, most definitely read up on multiple DIYs for any mods you plan on doing. Having some knowledge before hand will save you a ton of time and frustration. 5. What’s been the biggest challenge with this build? I’d say the biggest challenge was creating a build plan, and sticking to it. It’s just so easy to get distracted when you read about new parts you weren’t familiar with before, especially when they’re cheaper than the next part you had planned out. 6. What are you planning next? I’m definitely planning on prepping for a big turbo build. I have a front mount intercooler and a larger ported exhaust manifold waiting to be installed, followed shortly by a set of 550cc injectors I have planned out.
