I have always been a fan of Camaros. This is the 4th one I have owned. I had a 2002 Z28 that I loved to death and it was really just an awesome fun and fast car. After getting married my wife and I talked about starting a family. Well a Camaro isn't the best family car, so it was sold and I got my Dodge Charger. After a while I really missed having a fast and fun car that I could wrench on, so my very loving and sweet wife let me buy another Camaro as long as it didn't cost a lot of money. I found this car on craigslist for 1200 bucks. The body was in good shape, the interior looked almost perfect (which is a real rarity for a 3rd gen) but the motor was questionable and not hooked up. I bought the car, towed it home and had dreams of a drag car. Well after going in a ride in a friends autocross car I changed my dream. I first converted the 4 speed auto to a six speed manual. Then a cam and intake on the 305. After a bit the 305 gave up the ghost and I had a very large paper weight. I was trying to think of the most cost effective way to get it running again but have some power, I tossed around the idea of rebuilding the 305, then a GM goodwrench 350 for a cheap 350. I finally sucked it up and but a 383 crate in that turned the car into a blast. I have raced it a couple of times and had a blast. I am still slowly modifying it as I go. It has way more power than suspension and brakes but they are coming along. LONG LIVE T TOPS!!!!!!!
