Built to drive. I bought this car 5 years ago with 50K on it. He just turned over 126K. Sadly, while demonstrating the importance of displacement to a Lancer driver, I missed a shift, hitting 2nd rather than 4th. But, a chance to repair is a chance to upgrade, right? So Loki has undergone a heart transplant. The 5.7L LS1 has been replaced with a 6.2L LS3. The heads have been ported, and a cam with a bit of lump has been added. An A&A Superchargers kit strapped a Vortech V3 Si to the engine. And an LS7 clutch assembly makes sure the power actually reaches the ground. The dyno sheet in the photos shows the original 126,000 mile LS1 in red, and the new LS3 in blue.
