The Story

Wheelwell : Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Enjoy : I am the second owner of this vehicle and have owned it since late 2004. The original owner traded the car in after a couple of years of ownership and with the exception of some very low mileage the car was like new. The second generation GD Impreza equipped with its EJ20 H4-T is a great platform and served its purpose very well during its commuter days. I have since retired the vehicle from its daily status and simply use the car as a fun street car for running weekend errands, drives in the mountains and local car meets. Wheelwell : Describe the modifications you have made. Where did you start, what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it? Enjoy : Topspeed Motorsports provided installation of all bolt on power parts including Vf39 Turbo , Injectors, Intercooler, up / downpipe / cat back exhaust , and Protune services via Cobb Accessport. Allpro Subaru has since completed many of the current modifications to the car including a complete interior and drivetrain swap. Exterior changes including taillights, wingless trunk ,SPT body kit. Suspension, brake upgrades and wheels. Most recently I changed out the factory pitch stop with a billet one made by Beatrush. Wheelwell : Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? Enjoy : Biggest bang for the buck has got to be turbo-back exhaust and a pro tune Wheelwell : How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Enjoy : Selecting the parts was based on a power goal of 300whp. For me it was the perfect amount of power for this chassis. Wheelwell : What’s been the biggest challenge with this build? Enjoy : One of the great things about building a WRX is the community itself. While researching it was really easy to figure out what works and what doesn’t when it comes to turbo Subaru’s. Wheelwell : What are you planning next? Enjoy : The factory paint is in great condition but I have been wanting to fix a few blemishes and dings and get a complete respray of the Platinum Silver Metallic.
