This Volvo has been through everything. It was first bought by a family in 1992, who took good care of it until 1996, when my friend's older brother got it at the age of 16. It was used very heavily by him, getting taken on all kinds of dirt roads, going out on awesome outdoor adventures. The car had a top end rebuild sometime in the last 40 thousand miles, after having blown its head gasket. Now, the car is in my hands, and I have spiffed it up as best as I could, and she still pulls hard. I drive this thing on the small windy streets of the Berkeley hills, and it is such a blast. Feels like a rally car. The car has a Cone style air filter, and a muffler/resonator delete. It feels more responsive than other 740s and 940s that I have driven with stock intake and exhaust, though I have never dyno'ed the thing. If it made 114 stock, then maybe it has just about regained the hp that it lost over the years. The thing is a load of fun. 4:10 gears which is why it is pretty quick around town for an N/A car. Once you get on the highway though, with the 4 speed auto, good luck having a conversation without screaming :D
