Tell us the story behind your ride. What made you pick this particular one? Where did you find it? My wife and I were driving a 2 door GTI, and with three dogs, and a kid on the way, we needed something bigger. We like road trips, and camping, so this seemed to be a good fit.  We were driving through a rural area, and the previous owner was mowing 4' tall weeds around the car sitting in his field. I stopped and talked with him for a while, explaining our situation, and he agreed to sell it. I've always enjoyed vehicles on the obscure side, and the idea of doing a race-car out of a wagon seems cool. Describe the modifications you've made. Where did you start, what’s the most recent mod and what motivated it? I wouldn't say I've done proper mods. Mostly tune up type items. MSD Distributor, and a cooler thermostat. Of all the mods you’ve made, which do you think offers the biggest bang for the buck? I'd say biggest bang for the buck would be spark plugs.... How did you go about selecting the specific parts for this build? Any installation tips to share? Most of the parts I've installed so far have been either OEM type parts, or slight upgraded versions. Nothing too wild, just reliability work. What are you planning next? Main items will be drive train mostly. I don't want to do a full roll cage, but depending on how the build goes that could happen in the future What’s been the biggest challenge with this build? Money!

Now that is what i call a family car!

That's the idea! Hopefully it'll haul the family and do a sub 12 sec 1/4 eventually!

As long as you don't do it with the family in tow 😂
