        VEHICLE STORY

I bought this car after my 99 gt spun a rod bearing. I wanted something that was fast stock since in the past I had been having a lot of issues with my heavy modified  cars. So I was torn between this 01 cobra and a 00 Trans am. I opted for the cobra because after test driving the Trans am it just felt so cheap and while faster, I just couldn't look past it. The other plus side of getting the cobra was a lot of my gt parts were direct bolt ons. So as soon as I got it home I swapped in the mac off road xpipe I had from my gt. Since my gt had a t45 and the cobra had a t3650 I wasn't able to swap in my shifter,  but lucky for me I was able to swap it out with a friend on the Mustang forums for a b&m short throw.  Replaced the clutch with an exedy stage 2 clutch with steeda clutch adjuster and that was it, other than that the car remained stock. Since I had the power, I just focused on styling. Painted the valve covers ford racing blue, Mach 1 splitter, Saleen spoiler, 10th anniversary cobra rims 17x 9.5 fronts and 17x10.5 rears with 245/45/17 up front and 315/35/17 nitty 555s out back , 03/04 pedal covers and that was it.  Drove the car like that for 2 years before I started to miss having a sedan. I knew that if I was going to get rid of my much loved cobra that it would have to be for something better. So after looking for a few months I found the car that I wanted, an 04 CTSV. Drove to la, traded the cobra in and got my ctsv
