Shop Suspension/Steering ModsI suppose what I do constitutes as “driving” and for a lack of a better word, that is what the action from here on out will be referred to as. Others say I scare their bowel movements to the point of changing fluid direction whereas others leave the car in a frozen state (once and only once on a hospital gurney). I don’t drive a WRX nor an STI. I leave those cars to more “interested” persons. I drive a 2008 Subaru Impreza Topaz Gold 2.5i and I am bloody well proud of it. Although the bonnet doesn’t have a big ol’ snail or the incestuous rumble of the familiar muscle car of the Japanese auto industry, Kin and I are pretty good team. I don’t track her and I have no plans of doing such a thing. I have done on and off track racing (read that as you will) for about seven years. It’s taken me two years to get Kin where she is now. Countless hours of research, translation, more research, wrestling with my personality and with what all the “cool kids” are doing, the ever-changing advice and suggestions from equally-minded folks, the shitbags who knocked and vandalized Kin…yeah it’s been a wacky trip. But it’s not over. Not by a long shot but I am going to be sharing my time, energy and money on other things for the next couple of months. I am happy with where she is right now (except for the exterior. Still need those WRX bumpers and skirts).
