We have this car in the family since 2006. We bought it used with 8000kms. It is a 320i Canadian/Euro base model with a recent B30 swap. It has a 3.38 final drive so it's zippy

We were just about to buy a SAAB 9-5 Aero but someone had crashed into it causing $4000 in damage before we got back to sign. So we drove away from dealer that night and drove by this beauty that had just traded in. The Universe unfolds as it should LOL.
The previous owner bought it for his wife and allegedly she didn't like the 5 speed so she switched to auto. Its one of a few hellrot/bright red E46s out there. The plans are to keep it fresh and maintained and improve performance as things are due for replacement.
 I want a Magnaflow 16533
I also want to put in a LSD from Mfactory as they have a great price. I would do urethan bushings when the diff is dropped.
When the clutch goes Ill do a UUC lightweight
I have front callipers, rotors and carriers for a 330i in my garage but the unsprung weight savings are too great to justify them atm. Recently did B30 swap and headers and 93 octane tune with poly motor mounts and a lot of refreshing of seals. The head has a 3 angle polish and rebuild.
Dream build would be to slap on a ESS TS2 supercharger, performance valves, and springs, cam and probably new lifters. At that point money would be no object, hich may never be the case for me) SO I
