Product review

What made you choose this particular product?

I wanted something that offered a stiffer ride, but not break-grandma's-back hard. Swift's reputation is recognized for quality, and several coilovers offer them as additional upgrades. Decided not to go with coilovers due to price point vs quality gained.

Is this your first time buying from this brand? Did you consider other brands?

Yes, first time. Also considered Tein coilovers with EDFC, or BCR coils, or FA coils, but figured I might as well save up for other stuff instead.

Was it easy to install? Any installation tips that will help others?

I felt I didn't know enough about properly installing suspension, and nada about alignment, so I brought it to a local performance shop. These were installed by The Speed Syndicate (http://www.thespeedsyndicate.com), and they followed up with an alignment as well. Note that camber plates were not needed because the drop is not too crazy (<1 inch all around because I'm SE AWC and not Ralliart), but alignment was needed.

Once you've had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?

I have had this for about half a year now, and it is great. Corners where I would be rolling / leaning to one side at 60 km/h on stock 6-year-old suspension, I am now able to comfortably turn at ~75 km/h and feel stable and planted. Braking hard no longer feels like my chair is tipping over, and my stopping distance in rain and sun has shortened.

Any additional comments?

The first month or so, the suspension squeaked a bit when going over high speed bumps or shallow potholes (accidentally). Bumps definitely felt sharper and harsher, and I'm not sure if I have just gotten used to it now, or if the springs settled in nicer over time. Some people mentioned that the springs sag or droop over time, but I have not experienced this yet. Visually, it looks like the car has decreased its rake, but I think the gap in the front arches are just more noticeable now that the car is a bit lower (not that I mind).
