VEHICLE STORY

I purchased my 911 at the end of may 2016. I paid $13,700 for it and it ran perfect except for a lumpy idle. Once i got the car to my shop and looked it over thoroughly, I noticed that the air/oil separator was leaking and though that that was a possibility for the rough idle. I ordered a new one and removed the transmission while waiting for it to be shipped. Once the transmission was removed i noticed that the clutch disk was worn almost completely to the rivets and not worth putting back in. so i ordered a sachs clutch kit and new slave cylinder. I replaced the slave cylinder and hydraulic fluid. while the transmission was out i changed the manual trans fluid with Redline MT-90.  Before putting everything back together i removed the cover for the IMS bearing and inspected the bearing. the bearing felt new so I decided not to mess with it for now. after putting it all back together it drives great, except for the lumpy hesitant idle.  i decided to order a smoke machine to test for intake/vacuum leaks. i discovered that there is a large leak towards the front of the engine near the area of the oil/separator. i now believe that one of the hoses (you cant see them) going to the oil separator is cracked/broken. my next move is to lower or possible drop the engine to see if i can see where the vacuum leak is.
