New pioneer head unit installed, actually looks cleaner than I thought it would.
Think it's time for some new speakers lol. Got any recommendations? With a Pioneer head unit alread
I have a pretty serious system in my ride over 1750 rms watts and have come to the conclusion that you will be very happy with your sound by going with a reputable name in car audio, my personal fav is Rockford Fosgate had infinity speakers first for about 70.00 they were ok but melted the tweeters,,,then got RF 6.5 inch doors and whoa sound is night and day, just advice don't go super cheap just be disappointed got my RFs for about 140.00
I've used Pioneer speakers in the past and was really happy with them on a couple of installs. I have Infinity Kappa's in the FC right now, and they have a decent clean sound, but nothing mind blowing. I'd probably go back to Pioneer if I were to change it. That said, like Tom mentioned, there's so much that goes into audio, that I may be missing alot by not having an amp.
I've tried probably every brand of speaker out there, and I cant tell the difference. So the real question is; what do you want? Do you want a basic replacement or a slight upgrade? Or do you want a serious upgrade with tweeters and crossovers? Audio systems can be more complex than we think haha, take a look here.crutchfield.com/g_400/All-Car-Speakers.html?tp=105&pg=1
I was looking to get a slight upgrade, and the car comes stock with tweeters so I was just gonna do a slight upgrade on those too
I'd recommend a speaker and tweeter kit, Kicker has one. Just be sure to measure your speaker to buy the right parts
Ya I was gonna get the kit so they match, got any opinions on alpines?
I had an Alpine head unit, and it was great...so I'd imagine the speakers are ok as well. But I'm not a pro audio guy either
Ya me either I've just been going on reviews I'm gonna try alpines in a few weeks when I get the $$
nice. make sure you post pictures here and review them
Air compressor setup for horns, messy but it works.
New train horn added to the roof rack
I'll bet that thing makes some serious noise. What sort of setup are you running to power it?
I got a 1 gallon 180 psi tank in the back with a simple light duty compressor
Ill post a pic of the setup later on today
