What made you choose this particular product?
Luna had an old aftermarket, CD-only DIN installed, which probably didn't even work correctly, so I opted for something much more functional, modern, and better looking, too.
What were you trying to accomplish by adding this product?
The main reason for getting this radio was to have Bluetooth and AUX available in this car.
Was it easy install? Any installation tips that will help others?
Since the harnesses that came with the previous DIN were all still there and intact, it was very easy splicing the wires to the harnesses that came with the new unit. Everything worked as it should--including the radio antenna!
Once you’ve had a chance to use the product, did it meet your expectations?
Exceeded my expectations a bit, actually! The speakers, which came in this Honda are kinda crappy, but they definitely work well enough, and the built-in equalizer was greatly helpful in this regard. Balance, fader, loud on/off, and the LED color of the head unit can be customized. Three of your favorite FM, and I believe two AM stations can be saved, as well. There are preset EQ settings for Rock, Classical, etc. available if you do not feel like messing with the EQ, yourself. The remote was a weird, but interesting addition, and it works as long as it's at least somewhat pointed in the direction of the radio; however, I do not go out of my way to actually use it, since there's very little reason for me to do so.
Any additional comments?
Definitely a very inexpensive option to have a fully functional, modern, universal DIN in your car!
